I my project there is a requirement to track changed mdm records. We enabled change tracking in MDM and set the setting to "Track Modifies" for tables and fields.
What we noticed is - not only the changes done on actual record but the changes done on checked out record are also written in the database.
Is there anyway - we record the changes done on the actual record and do not record the changes done on checked out record..
We have very high volumes of data where processes(Portal BPM) checkout the record before updating it in MDM, this is creating lot of entries in change tracking DB. Restricting entries of changed fields in checked out record will help us to minimize the size of entries written on MDM DB.
